Mrs. Williams
My name is Caroline Williams, and it is my pleasure and honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Garden City Elementary. I am excited to join this school community and support you, our students, faculty, and staff.
This is the start of my 16th year in education. My career began in Bedford County as an elementary teacher. During my ten years in Bedford County, I taught first, second, and fourth grades. I joined Roanoke City in 2016 as a fourth-grade teacher and then as an instructional coach at Hurt Park Elementary. For the past three years, I have been the assistant principal at Round Hill Elementary.
As the principal of Garden City, it is my vision to create an environment where every child has meaningful access to an education system that fully understands and is willing to address their cultural, physical, social, emotional, and academic needs. I will support our students in achieving academic success by building positive relationships and holding them to high academic and behavioral expectations.
