Garden City is thoroughly excited about this school year! "Life's A Garden, Dig It." What better way to celebrate what life is throwing at us in 2021 then to get back to our roots. It is not surprising that the Sunflower is connected with fire, positivity, power, and happiness by both old and modern persons because it resembles the Sun so well. It is related in Greek myth to a nymph story which, after losing her love, becomes a flower. Just like the sunflower "We will rise."
