About Garden City Elementary
Garden City Elementary School is one of 17 elementary schools in Roanoke City Public Schools. Located in Southeast Roanoke, Garden City maintains a commitment to providing an instructional program that focuses on the individual needs of the child. Appreciating cultural differences while maintaining respect for heritage is encouraged. The goal is to educate the whole child using a caring, child-centered environment in order to build a positive self-image throughout the time that basic skills are being taught. Garden City considers the cooperative teamwork among parents, community, faculty, and staff to be essential in achieving this goal.
Garden City is home to the Gators and is led by Principal Caroline Williams and Assistant Principal Rosalind Henderson.
